THE PROJECTs
#1 Water System Project - Early of 2007, a water engineer from Netherland arranged his internship term in the Philipinnes for 3 months. For the whole period of his stays in our Village, he was able to draft a feasibility study regarding of the water crisis in barangay Ambalgan. He'd committed to help the community raise the said fund to construct a water system that will supply the whole community. And after 3 year of praying and networking, Mr Harmen Vander Laan the water engineer return to Philippines construct the water system project. The water system project was constructed in 2010 of July. And this became now a venue for both school youth and out-of school for training in simple and basic PLUMBING and Electrical.
#2 Sanitation: More than 10 toilets have been constructed in the areas of Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao where normally neglected and has no chance to access assistance from the government. We have seen the situations and experienced first-hand the sad stories of these communities. And these stories we have brought out to friends and partners that touches their heart to help out the communities. Some friends have to spend their resources to travel from other countries just to see the situation of the communities where we are working with. Through them, we are able to connect to resources to fund the said sanitation program
#3 Farming: For almost 5 years of engaging with the farmers, always found ourselves having hard time in identifying on how to address the rampant victimization made by the buy and sell businesses
#4 Sports/Music & Arts: These are the programs initiated by the out-of school -youth in 2008 and invited one of our team mate for the first Basic Song Writing Training in Ambalgan South Cotabato. This training helps build confident among the youth and they were able to start drafting song lyrics base on stories of their life. Since then they were able to composed more than 40 Songs and available now in YuoTube. The group of 6 youth name them IMC Band Ambalgan.
#5 IMC Nursery Center 3-4 yrs old: This program was initiated to address the lacks of Nursery program for kids at 2-5 years old in barangay Ambalgan from 2004-2014. This is the reason why my wife, Norhaya with the help of Mona and Bing has to respond and do their very best to serve their community. For more than ten (10) years being a servant this village, finally we have seen at least the value of our works, not by recognizing our contribution but the DepEd included nursery program to the new K-12. And since our Nursery teachers are all from community and not just only relative of the parents but they are very familiar with kids and thus make the kids to had their parents enroll them to IMC Nursery Center.
#6 The deep Weel Project: The said project was first initiated in barangay Ulandang, Midsayap North Cotabato upon the request of Mads, one of the IMC Network leaders. It was sited as primary felt needs of the community and it tooks a lot of prayers, connecting people to fund the project. A good friend from Canada visited the community and see first hand the needs and were able to connect us for funding. Since then, friends from different places loves to send their help for the said project. As of this time, Rebuken, Gang and Kapimpilan including Bario 10 was benefitting also of this project. The one really good is in Bario 10 because it flowing and the water quality met the standard quality.
